Art in Public Places Exhibitions
The James A. Rutherford Community Center participates in Art in Public Places, a public program whereby artists can exhibit works free of charge in a public space. We accept applications from individuals and groups inside or outside the City of Boca Raton limits. Artists may submit work in a variety of mediums, including painting, photography, sculpture, glass, jewelry, pottery and multimedia.

Mary Ann Appell (August)
Mary Ann Appell believes in the following: "The Earth is art, the Photographer is only a witness" - Yann Arthus-Bertrand. Mary Ann studied her craft at the Fashion Instititute of Technology in NYC. For over 25 years she has captured her unique version of artscapes with her camera. Her most recent collection features the land of "La Dolce Vita" (Italy) and "La Vie EnRose" (France).
