Art in Public Places Exhibitions

The James A. Rutherford Community Center participates in Art in Public Places, a public program whereby artists can exhibit works free of charge in a public space. We accept applications from individuals and groups inside or outside the City of Boca Raton limits. Artists may submit work in a variety of mediums, including painting, photography, sculpture, glass, jewelry, pottery and multimedia.

Gold Coast Quilters (October) 

The guild is a member of the Sunshine State Quilters Assoc. Members meet monthly for "contemporary quilting bee" sessions. Each quilt is made of individual squares and then joined together to make the larger quilt.

Charlotte J. Maloney (October)

An artist and professor of art at Florida Atlantic University and Palm Beach State College for 18 years, Charlotte Maloney will be displaying her Plein Air watercolors.  Her works are about nature and the things she loves passionately.
